I am a Book Artist and Printmaker.

I’m an academic by background and was a Professor at the Universities of Southampton and Manchester as well as holding posts in the NHS and the law. Today, I live in London and make artists’ books. I graduated from the University of the Arts London in 2019, with an MA in Visual Arts (Book Art).

In April 2018 I was a resident artist at the International Scuola Grafica in Venice.

I trained as a Social Scientist and my work is all about people and the lives they have lived. I am fascinated by the relationship between artefacts and those who use and make them. Tools, machinery and textiles tell us a great deal about art and craft, industry and social change. Found objects all contain a history and a meaning.

My books are hand made – folded, sewn, stitched, glued – in small editions.
